Nation Lakes

One of the most spectacular, unforgettable canoe tours Northern British Columbia has to offer the ardent canoeist and outdoor enthusiast! This unique tour will take you through the four Nation River passages.

The Nation Lakes are the four "outflow" lakes in the Nation River system in Central B.C. The lakes, running 120 km from West to East (down stream) are as follows: Tsayta, Indata, Tchentlo, and Chuchi. All are connected to the Arctic water shed. 

With many Campsites along the way the Nation Lake Chain provides magnificent canoe adventures through remote wilderness that will excite and motivate the Angler as well as the Nature Lover!

Wildlife frequently encountered on this tour are: Beaver, Moose, Bald-Headed Eagles, Osprey, Porcupine, and the Black Bear. For the Angler, the fishing is Superb! Rainbow Trout, Bull Trout, Lake Char as well as various other White Fish. 
Depending on your schedule, it may take 5-10 days to discover the Nation Lakes. While on this scenic tour you must take advantage of the Natural "Hot Springs" that Tchentlo Lake (the third and longest, 45 km) has to offer. The last leg of your incredible journey, you will reach the fourth and final lake. Congratulations! You have arrived at your destination...
